It was only the second day of our trek, and Wilson Mesa turned out to be quite a wakeup call. A difficult climb, but the view was worth it. Of course there was that one minor problem...the fact that we ran out of water.

But turn the other way and you see the ruins of a forest, taken down years back by a forest fire. Baldy rises in the background.

"The perfect photo"
This photograph was my personal favorite

This is simply a wonderful image. Baldy mountain rises behind a lake that can be found on Wilson Mesa. A pine tree dotted plain fills the gap between the two, and you can almost feel the wind blowing, causing the reeds to move back and forth.
